Mayfair Games is a local publisher of board and train games in the United States. The company has been around since 1981 they are publishing English language games. The company is located in Skokie, Illinois. We spoke to Julie Yeager the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement about her company and the way she feels about Saboteur.

Why did you start publishing Saboteur?

We have a long time relationship with AMIGO publishing all kinds of games. We took over Saboteur in 2015. We decided to list it because it’s an enjoyable game. It’s a simple strategy game that can change in a moment’s notice, because of the way the cards play. It targets s a good age group as well.

How’s it going?

The game sells really well. The main reason for its success is that it attracts core gamers as well as casual gamers. That’s a wide audience for us. We try to have games for all audiences maintaining a very diverse product line. As it is a card game it is easy to set up and spend a few minutes with friends.

How do you feel about the event?

Events like these are good as they create some additional exposure to the game. It is very important to do a proper PR. We also run small tournaments at stores and national championships in the States.

What are your next goals?

We will enrol Saboteur 2, the 2 player game and increase tournament exposure. There will be more events from next year on.

Anything else?

We are excited about our relationship with Amigo, thanks for that.
